I have a auto loan through Capital One that I took out 2 years ago. 17 months ago I lost my job, but I still was able to make my payments, I found another job but I make $12,000 a year less. I still made my payments. My husband passed away 11 months ago and reduced my household income another $36,000. I have bee able to maintain payments until this past month. I needed new tires, so I called and asked about putting Novembers payment on the end of the loan. I was told that I was not eligible. I bought tires. Last night they called to say I am past due, when I tried to explain the ladie on the other end said that I should have asked for an extention. When I replied that I had she said well you probably weren't eligible then but you are now, just pay ovembers payment and you can skip Decembers. I tried to explain that Novembers payment went for tires, I needed to skip Novembers payment I could make Decembers and she informed me that it couldn't be done that way. Then she said she was sorry about my misfortune!!!! Why don't they just be honest and say IT *** TO BE YOU??
