Capital One in Merced, California - CREDIT FRAUD ON HANDICAPPED SISTER
A local dealership sold my handicapped sister a car she could not qualify and pay for. The dealearship called Capitol One and told them she earned $3,000.00, instead of her $800.00 disability check. We sent them a certified letter of the illegal transaction, and they have ignored it and steppped up collection pressures. I cannot believe that such corporations can turn their heads to such an injustice in the name of profit. What is this world turning into. My sister is without any legal representation. Capital one will sue even after the debt is settled......
I had a judgement filed on me, I paid capital one dece. last near,got a confirmation number, showed on my checking account where it was deducted, and now 7 months later I received a letter saying they are taking the payment out of my checking account,claiming the payment was never made...and.... even though I have proof I did.too..... now they say it is another account which conviently has the same account number, and the same balance.......i have retained a lawyer, anyone having the same issue should do the same it is horrible,and unjust,nomore
Capital One stole $30,000 in deposits. Say they want more info from me, but are on the East Coast.
Capital one solicited an "Online Savings account" and took my $10,000 on 4/28/08. They have had a $20,000 CD since 2004. Now their Fraud Risk Operation froze both accounts ($30,000) saying they want a Utility bill. I sent my Drivers License and Social Security card in May- plenty for ID theft, but they want more. I rent a room and do not have a utility bill. My phone#, address: PO Box, and identity have not changed since I opened the CD account in 2004 (when it was CT zone). I want to know why they are on the East Coast and solicit me in Hawaii, took my money and give requirements later. They are only avail. by phone during Eastern time zone, M-F: not convenient to me! They refuse to put their requirements in Writing. I say close the account and am being stonewalled. To say I am livid is an understatement. This is a lot of $$$.
Indian CS NIGHTMARE @ Capital One
Every time I call Capital One & speak with their CS group I get someone in India that doesn't understand what I'm saying & I honestly don't understand what they're saying either. They lie & say their name is Charlie or Bob when we all know it's NOT. I've been hung up on by them a number of times just b/c I ask if they could repeat their question! That's NOT good CS! I'll be cancelling my card soon and please note that I've had it for nearly 5 years now! The company wonders why they're having issues - just a hint idiots - review your CS department! They're horrible! Outsourcing to a country that doesn't speak proper English & can't understand it IS NOT THE ANSWER!!!!!

Capital One keeps on harassing us about our overdue balance they call us once, then they call back minutes later demanding us to pay them right away and they are especially bad about calling twice on Sunday's as well. They call all throughout the day (during the week) probably about 6-7 times at least and it is getting annoying. Don't they know that they aren't supposed to call on Sundays? It even gets to where they call right at almost 9 in the evening. I don't guess that they know the meaning of when people will send in their payment
Capital One in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Failure to help when stranded in a foreign country
I have been a credit card user or years. Recently, my wife and I were touring Europe. She became ill and was hospitalized in Switzerland. the hospital was charging $2,000/day. I called Capital One to request an increase to my monthly limit of $10,000 for just one month to cover anticipated expenses. Being in a foreign country, my options were limited. I was told there was nothing they could do about it. I requested to talk to supervision and was passed around to other people, all of whom denied me. I am through with Capital One. My payment record over the years has been impeccible.

Capital One in Dallas, Texas - All Americans Should Close their Account with Capitol One
With the U.S. ecomony the way it is, why should we give Capitol One our money, when they have outsourced their business overseas. Do we really want to make their CEO and stockholders more money? I don't think so. Since our ecomony is the way it is, my husband can not find a job, so naturally we have fallen behind on some of our bills. It really *** me off when Capitol One calls and I am not even speaking to someone in the U.S. I would be willing to let the company know the reason we are late on our payment, and we are trying to pay everything we can, but when told, the individual in India told us they didn't care, they have jobs and do not care what the U.S. ecomony is. Once we have our account paid in full, we will close it. I will not make a company money if they do not care about our Country. If everyone would stop talking to the people overseas and tell them that they will only talk to people in the U.S., maybe it would send a message to Capitol One. The one thing that would really send a message is if we all stopped using their credit cards and other services. If they stop making money and the reason is told to them in plain ENGLISH, "We will not support a Company that does not support U.S. Workers", then maybe they will bring the jobs back to where they belong! We as Americans need to hit them where it hurts, THEIR BOTTOM LINE. My plan is to deal with companies that keep their jobs in the United States!
Capital One Fraud Deptment Denying Valid Use of Card
In 4 months, we've had about 15-20 occaisions in which Capital One card was denied use for fear of fraudulent activity. In each case, it was us using the card. Fraud Dept reps later call to confirm use of card but result of call is still Capital One is suspicious. Reasons so far: (1) more than one use at WalMart in a day (2) more than one use at a gas station in a day (one for car, one for gas can), (3) use card out of state without telling them we were going out of state. These calls are from Asian Indians who are hard to communicate with and follow illogical "rules" and supervisors are no better. Fraud Dept recommended closing card and getting a enw one. In the menatime, getting Fraud Dept calls stating more fraudulent activities which are simply recurring charges on the old card (lawn service, gym, car fast pass, etc). How do we file a complaint with Capital One to (1) make their Fraud Deptartment's FRAUDULENT CALLS stop and (2) get compensation for the 25-30 hours of time on frustrating phone calls and denied use of card?
