Horrible Customer Service

This company is a scam. Every time I call I talk to someone who does not understand me or what i am asking for. I will always recommend away from Capital One. Chase Sapphire, and American Express Cards are better. I will refer all family and travel clients away from Capital One.

User's recommendation: Use Chase or American Express Travel Cards.

Disappointed

Capital One - Disappointed
Liars. Pure unadulterated lying company. Full of fraudulent lies. Run from this repugnant company as fast as you can. I had a secured card with capital one, had it for years. never had an issue with it. Then I get ill for about a month, had a financial set back, which affected my secured credit card and then I get back on my feet, pay off my card/ then after I pay my card in full, I get informed my card had been canceled. No chance was given, nothing. Just canceled. Is that normal practice for your company? Just throw away clients? I know I am a small insignificant account; I am a blue-collar working man, not a millionaire or anything, but I am still a client. Probably not for long though. I am looking into other banks due to being treated like I was nothing by your company. I guess years and loyalty mean nothing? Again, I am very disappointed with your service and how it treats its clientele. Thank You and Good Day User's recommendation: Run away from them

Because your screwing people over

I made my March payment in February because I had the payment amount and you put it as a second payment for February because I paid it early it should not matter how early I pay it you got the damn payment period iam so aggravated and disappointed in your services you screw over people who are trying to get just alittle bit ahead I can't wait to close out this account you all are so ridiculously greedy and customer service sucks they try to help you at all.

Failure to honor request to manage checking account

Contacted customer service to block any request for payment from merchant. I was advised that this procedure could not be done..WHY NOT.? This is my account and I feel that it is my right to manage any transaction. I had occasion to block a previous transaction that was handled immediately and without any issue by competent and professional customer service reps. It is apparent that this service no longer exists and customers are treated with rudeness,misinformation,and lies.The new policy seems to be put on hold for several minutes,transferred to another rep in order to repeat the same issue again,put on hold again,and then disconnected.As a long time customer,I am totally disgusted with the new level of customer service however I am fully aware of the outcome.You do it because you CAN. User's recommendation: Avoid poor service

New account verification

contacted fraud because my card was recently hacked. they canceled my card and was told i needed to get new one. they asked me for my digits to send a verification text to. when i gave them my 10 year old tracfone number they told me they couldnt use it. the other work around was to mail or fax a form of id and maybe 10 weeks after recieving they would send out a new card.
