Capital One in Pismo Beach, California - Lack of Notification and Written agreements

4.2
Details
When I began my refinancing with them in October 2014 I received a estimated loan agreement to have until finalization of the loan partnership. Upon payoff to my other lender I never received notification from Capital One that my New Loan payments were established or given my new payment date. I argued that this was a standard procedure to notify customers when their payments begin, they argued with me that it was online but I had not been given an account number yet. I had received nothing in writing in the mail or by email pertaining ot this new loan account. I demanded that I be provided the new loan agreement outlining our new terms & conditions, fiance amounts etc. before I make a payment. They promised to send before the next payment due date, I never received any paper documents relating to my loan and it is now May 2015. They have send me other documents requesting information but nothing pertaining to my loan agreements. This is against the law I am sure and I don't know who to reach out to for help but this is illegal.

Capital One in Marshfield, Missouri - Federal Law Violations

SCRA Department doesn't abide by the Federal Law. They Lie and have customer service reps say they are supervisors when they are not and they totally unprofessional! The SCRA Department is not educated on the law at all nor are they willing to learn the law. Fun Fact, Capitol One was one of the banks that needed a cash bailout from the U.S. Federal Government back in 2007 and 2008. They used the money to make them bigger but refuse to clean up and due their jobs professionally and correctly. When a case goes to court they push it out for years and belittle the people they screwed over.

Capital One does not respect any customers only their bottom line

We spent 3 days and talked to 9 different customer service" minions" without any assistance in the slightest. All we needed was a truthful principal pay off so we could cut this horrid company loose. They wanted principal PLUS tons of fees, penalities and misc. but even though the loan had been hard on everyone they would not help us get out. In retrospect I believe our car was a very marketable one and they wanted it back, even after we had paid over 5k in interest & fees but only 3k in principal in less than 2 years. At over 14.10 % interest I would recommend to run not walk away from anything to do with this inconsiderate "bottom line" company.

>"Capital One does not respect any customers only their bottom line"

This is true of ANY big business; Wal-Mart, McDonald's, GEICO, Chase, etc etc etc etc. They don't care about you or me; they care about profits, period.

If you want to steer clear of shoddy service and indifference, keep your business local. You can start by dumping the big banks and visit your local credit union.

@Pleo

Exactly what we are doing currently....but will still have to pay 1k plus of Cap. One *** just to get out.

To think I almost accepted an credit card from Cap. One , I can only imagine the chaos that would have come with that.

Capital One WORST credit card/bank ever

Problems: Issue cards at a low interest rate promising "for life" then change terms to extremely high interest rate Change card from free to yearly user fee without notice Make up additional interest you still owe after paying off your balance Do not send bills in a timely manner Suspend your credit card for missed or late payment no matter how much you paid (even account pay off) the month before if there is even a tiny balance Rude service Capital One used to provide decent services before the Bank fiasco caused by the banks them selves. Now they abuse all their customers due to their own incompetence. Capital One will never get another penny of my money. I would rather stand on the side of the road with a "will work for food" sign than get any loan or credit card from them.

Most cc companies only raise your rate in the event of a late payment.

Capital One did the same thing to me!! I received a CC back in 1995, used it once, paid it off and just stowed it away for emergencies.

I never received a replacement card when the original card expired, so I just assumed the account was closed.

In 2008, I started receiving phone calls from Capital One demanding payment for the yearly fee on a card that went dormant 13 years prior.

I laughed at them and told them they had a better chance at seeing God than they did seeing a penny out of me.

To this day, I get at least one letter a week from them soliciting my business.

Not gonna happen, ever. My local credit union does well by me.

I am not an angry customer. I've had 2 vehicles financed with capital one, using the blank check for both and I haven't had an issue with them. The process has been smooth both times. I'm getting ready to apply for the third one. I was shocked to see these reviews. I've delt with capital one for almost 8 years. Haven't had any issues that they haven't resolved right away.

Capital One - Refused to help with fraud

1.0
Details
Someone used my email to sign up a Capital One credit card - after starting to receive balance notifications and emails about "my account" to my email address, it turns out calling in to Capital One doesn't actually help to verify my personal information is NOT on the fraudulent account, they just turned off the email notifications so I'm not getting any information either way about it. Now not only do I not know whether I am still linked to a fraudulent account because of my email, but they refuse to send me something saying I DON'T have an account with them because "I'm not a current customer." The ***? How am I supposed to combat this?
