Flee from this company!

They will lock up your account because of "suspicious activity" and then demand your drivers license information and God knows what else. You are stuck and harassed by their so-called "customer service" Their reps can't speak English worth a damn. I am sorry I was ever was involved with these filthy bastards. P.S. My credit score is well over 800.

Worst bank

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
my mother opened a custodian account for my son when she was alive. She passed away in 2014 and my son turned 18 in January of 2019. He tried to closet the account in July but we were given such a hard time to close the account. Every time we called we were given and requested different information. They told us they have sent the check. We didn't receive the check but we did receive close account statement . What happened to the check. I had to write a letter to the president of the company. I'm a banker at another financial institution and I know exactly how this should have been handled. It took 3 months to close this account. I will never ever bank with them. They waste so much money in advertising but have very very poor service,

Apparently there were two "idiots" on the phone. One of them went over their limit.

Of course, there's no one over them. They told you what they needed to say. The magical manager of yesteryear doesn't exist anymore.

No one is there to soothe your precious ego and make you feel like not handling your balance like a man/woman wasn't YOUR fault. It's OK, have some cocoa and it'll be better.

I swear to god I may just cancel the *** and deactivate it havent used it yet the service is literally that bad and i feel its an indication of what they will be providing in the future.

Stay away from Capital one credit cards.

I never missed a payment ever but had my account locked up until I had to send them photos of my driver license and God knows what else, I refused to and they won't even tell me my balance. Their customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with and I suspect that the manager overseeing customer service is an inebriated chimp with an etch-a sketch. My advice is to stay away from this nasty company at all costs.

"Couple times payments has been returned" The End... What is it that you don't understand about this?

If this is about credit cards, your returned payments probably caused them to dig deeper into your file and decide to not do business with you. They may have looked into your credit beyond the 3 agencies and looked into your banking, rent or other data from any one of more than a dozen alternate credit agencies. If this is about a bank account, rather than whine online about this, your best bet is to set up another account somewhere else before this hits Chex Systems or Cetergy which will make it harder to get new accounts. Speaking of which, you may want to pull your Chex Systems file.

Believe me, the banks do. They may have seen something in there they didn't like or went to another

They won't let me pay off my bill

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have had 2 credit cards that I have never missed a payment or have been late in years. 1 card was paid off. I went from using their app on my android to an iPhone when they were having their own breach issues and it has been a mess. I provide all the information they need every time I call to prove I'm not a security risk. They wont give me any information and I verify everything I ask. I have spent HOURS trying to prove who I am. I really believe they are trying to prolong me paying off my bill. I haven't used it in 2 years and just want to pay it off. It should not be this hard.

So, get a pay off amount, how long it's good for and send the payment via registered mail. Problem Solved You're Welcome.

What is it about wanting instant(unprovable)phone satisfaction. Companies count on dotards calling in to do stuff rather than using the USPS, Fed Ex or UPS to send real honest to goodness correspondence that can be traced and proven.

It's not that hard to be an adult. Or is it??

Absolutely not

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My boyfriend, mother and I all signed up for a capital one master card and we all live at the same address. My mother’s and I’s cards came but my boyfriends did not. After several calls, 2 hour wait times on hold and being hung up on he was finally told that he needed to provide more ID than my mother or I had to to prove his identity. This is a *** answer. We experienced horrible customer service and rude employees. On the last call my boyfriend decided to just cancel his account altogether but they said that they couldn’t unless he provide more ID. I happed to be in the room while he was on speaker and I questioned out loud weather it was because of the other accounts at our address. The rude employee on the phone instantly change the tone into a mad sounding voice that there was a third person listening to the conversation. I then instructed my boyfriend to ask my question but the employee would not acknowledge it because it originally came from me. This company is complete bs and the three of us will be cancelling our accounts.

You have problems other than a credit card. Living at home with a BF and mommy is the first one.

Secondly, your "boy" friend is living with you and your mommy. What kind of man has to have you giving him question points in the background while you listen in on speaker? This boy should have gone outside and handled his business, on his own like an adult. Of course, you know you can't give him too much line or freedom to do his thing lest he begins to enjoy it, wonders what value you have and cut out on you for good.

Third, you're being obtuse. You know full well a boatload of credit cards will eventually trigger a fraud alert. Heck, you even said it yourself.

Toss in a no doubt loud and grating girlfriend(please don't tell me you have an annoying regional accent) in the background shouting and mudding up the call, of course, their tone changed each time you opened your pie hole. I don't think they care if you close your account and would love nothing more than to get you off the line.

The dispute department is terrible!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have been trying to dispute a credit card transactions since June. I have all the paperwork. They have given me one excuse after another for months. Lied said they didn’t get paperwork in time. Meanwhile I have printed the successful upload with time & date. I have been on the phone for hours. Last call the supervisor kept me on the phone for four hours on a Friday evening. Chris said let’s make an appt. i’ll Call you back at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. He never called me back! Extremely unprofessional. Then I received all call from someone else saying we are closing the dispute for the third time because you didn’t send paperwork in on time! Which is a lie. As I mentioned I have proof! Does anyone has any suggestions on how to get in touch with a decision maker or go all the way to the top to the CEO because this is unacceptable for any customer to be treated this way!

Horrible, inept customer service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Called for a payoff of credit card plus any additional interest so the balance would be zero. Paid it and the next month I received an invoice for $14.55. They said it was because a charge of $2.99 came in on the card. I tried to explain the situation and after an hour of explaining everything to her and her supervisor, they told me they couldn’t do that because of company policy. I then tried the national phone number and after speaking again to a sympathetic ear and she did go to her supervisor and the same thing happened. I paid off ten credits card companies and capital one was the only one not working with me and most wrote off the previous month’s interest. I don’t know how much capital one spends to get a new customer but they don’t spend one penny trying to keep an existing one. And there is no one to talk to about this

LOL... It's funny how people believe "customer service" means getting their way all the time.

I'm going to help you... Pull your terms, the terms YOU agreed to and find the "work with me clause" or any other back up that mitigates your obligation under the terms, YOU agreed to and you're golden. Compare your "situation" to the terms and you'll be fine. If not, stop whining and wasting people's time.

There are customers waiting on the phone with REAL issues that have to wait because you're harranguing the staff and thing that the magical manager will overturn the decision based on a policy they must follow if they want to keep their jobs. Also, just because other companies "worked with you"(are you a dead beat, this is dead beat lingo) doesn't mean everyone else will.

OK, this is the part where people like you enjoy saying "you must work for them." Lastly, it's clear you have no life...How much is your time worth? It must be worth only $14.95 per hour.

they are the absolute worst credit card co , out there. I have excellent credit and I am sure I make much more then you pathetic butt. But their interest rates are what they want to charge and when they want to charge.

I always read the terms and believe me these people are crooks. so take a good look at your judgmental self and think before u comment
