Capital One in Jackson, Mississippi - Liars

I got an auto loan with COAF in September 2011. My account is on auto draft, but yet they tell me I missed a payment! If I've been behind one that payment for over a year why didn't any body contact me until I called them!! So I called them December 2013 to make my November payment that I knew I was going to miss to pay it and all of a sudden I'm behind!!! I checked my transaction records and all records year to date says they have been received and only one return which I was aware of n that was November 27 payment but It was paid first of December. I have yet to recieve a transaction history for the year prior to that!! Then I cancelled all auto payments n they still took money from my account after they sent letters saying direct pay was discontinued!! So they better out my money back in my account or there will be problems between them and I!!!

Old Post to comment I know. But for anyone reading this now or in the future.

We need 3 business days to cancel direct pay. If its less, direct pay can be cancel, but it will only be for the next upcoming payments.

Capital One in Ottawa, Ontario - Cancelled card months ago, charged annual fee

I cancelled this card about 4 months ago as I switched to non fee cards. Didn't receive a statement for about 3 month then suddenly, I believe $59 annual fee. Uhhh, I cancelled it! People on phone were rude (2) and pretended that there was no record of my call. I don't believe that for NY nanosecond.. Never again capital one! Never! Buyer beware! I am so tired of companies that think they can provide horrid service for high prices.. and lie. Just avoid!Really, you are going to screw up then be rude to me? My husband was there listening when I cancelled it- they are not being truthful unless they don't keep appropriate records!

while i'm sorry you feel this way you should realize this is standard practice. that's why whenever you cancel ANY card you have them give you some kind of verification code AND request mailed confirmation of some kind stating the card has been canceled.

I had this same situation happen with another credit card not capitol one where after I canceled they tried sending me a bill for the annual fee. I called up and thankfully I had the confirmation # the person on the phone had given me and a letter that I had requested be sent to me verifying it was canceled.

so instead of blaming capitol one why not take some responsibility yourself and admit you didn't keep diligently on the situation like you should have. you NEVER take a company for their word till you have something in writing like I did.

Capital One in San Diego, California - Compliants

I tried to figure out how to file a formal complaint and was given misinformation by a supervisor. I spoke to another worker and a supervisor with capital one and was given different information. There is no way to verify who was telling the truth and who was fabricating the information given to me. But my compliant is against Reid employee ID jwh437 and if someone else has a complaint with this individual maybe we can link up and take this further. He was rude and giving off information that was not apart of the company for some time now.

Capital one employees are treated like *** by people like you. And you people wonder why no one gives a ***.

Learn to do things for your self instead of calling customer service.

$13 an hour associate could care less about you. Complain all you want, it means nothing.

I consistently make full payments on the card balances prior to the due date. 3 - 4 days later, when I check my credit availability, these payments are noted as being received but they are not noted in my available credit. This has happened several times and each...

if you are sending an eft through your bank account it does not transfer the same day - they go through the ACH - automated clearinghouse. first your bank withdraws the money from your account and it takes typically 2 or 3 days MINIMUM to send it to pay your credit card company. Credit card companies do not and cannot hold your money.

Just because your bank debits your account it doesn't mean they transmitted the money.

You can simply pay your bill directly with the credit card company and they can post the payment the same day and then they send it to your bank for payment - that would give you faster posting.

I contacted customer service (Capital One recently bought out HSBC) and asked what was the purpose of the $39 fee? Erica, the senior customer service agent stated that it was for road side service that I signed up for in 2004 & that it couldn't be waived. I...

An annual membership fee is not for road side service. A lot of capital one cards carry an AMF.

You pay it to use their card. Close the account or switch to another card without a fee.

They actually do exist.

I have two accounts with capital one. Only one has an annual fee because it's a rewards card.

I was recently charged the fee and they waived it. I paid my bill on time but accidentally failed to pay the entire amount by the grace period by a day and they waived the interest in full.

My credit limit has quadrupled on one, they upgraded the other and increased the limit substantially as well. Both cards are barely a year old....So....

Capital One in Thornhill, Ontario - No Hassle Rewards is a huge hassle

I got the capital one aspire card for the rewards. Big Scam. I called and they told me I had $1800 worth of "No Hassle rewards". So, i bought a ticket for a trip for about $3,000 and i called them and asked them to apply the $1,800 towards the trip. And unfortunately, they said that they can only apply the points if it covers 100% of the ticket. So, if the ticket was $1,800 then there is no issue. But if the Ticket is $1801, then my points are worthless and cant be applied. Even with Air Miles they let you pay the difference in cash. I also have an AMEX and they have no issue with partial redemption's. Calling these rewards as "No Hassle Rewards" is extremely misleading when they place restrictions that no other reward companies have.

If you'd read the terms and conditions that was sent with your card... you would have known this.

It's always been their policy.

Like it or not, it's plainly stated. No sense in complaining because you didn't read what you were agreeing to.

Capital One in Dallas, Texas - Bank Did Not Pay Me Agreed Incentive of $200

Capital One Bank ran a scheme to get new checking accounts by offering $200 for opening. I needed to have a direct deposit and maintain my account in good standing. Unfortunately Capital One told me they would not give me the incentive at the end. The banker who opened my account, located at 2525 Wycliff Avenue did not process my paperwork correctly. The branch manager was not interested in dealing with my case and referred me to the client services team. The client services team referred me back to the branch manager and I was stuck in a big loophole and they worked together NOT to pay me my incentive.
