I don't know what to tell you. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (The CFPB) which got started in 2011 to help the consumer fight corruption with banks and credit cards is a JOKE they don't read anything that is sent them and they police themselves.

They even sent my complaint about GE Capital Retail Bank and Pay Pal Smart Connect to my Discover Card and they are not even on the Complaint! I have been dealing with this bank and credit card company since 2011 up to this year 2013 April and it just keeps coming. I have never ever been treated bad by Discover Card and if they did and I forgot they fixed it. I have belonged to them for over 25 years and I would recommend them anytime.

They use a letter dated over a year ago to close my complaint and it only addresses two of the 40 problems that I have had with this useless agency that can't read, pay attention or retain what they read if they can read at all. The other agencies that I have listed turn it all over to this CFPB which is a JOKE! You think that Capital One is a crook you need to check out just how bad it really is out there when you deal with a bank and credit card company and your rights YOU HAVE NONE. The OCC (Office of the Currency Controller) The Department of Financial Institutions (The DFI) The Department of Justice here in California probably in other states to, (The CFPB) The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau,The Federal Trade Commission (The FDC) etc.

cannot and will not do anything for you you have to take care of it yourself as I have tried to do and continue to do. It's like I have to babysit these agencies so that they PAY ATTENTION they have been in LA LA Land for Too Long! Keep records, dates, times, go into your account everyday, copy and paste etc., etc., because it is you against this wonderful United States of America that Corporate America is destroying faster then any war this country has ever had or seen. They lie, steal, cheat, cover-up problems and mistakes that they have made, make up names for this charge and that charge and then deny it even when presented to them.

Start agencies that are a waste of your time and your tax dollars. Your on your own because the corruption in this country of America is out of control. The FBI can't even keep up with the crimes that are committed it is very sad what is happening in the United States of America today!

:x :sigh :eek :roll :roll Really sad when you think :cry about it. :sigh

Capital One in Fredericksburg, Virginia - Branch Manager

I have been a customer of Capital One and my main location is the Capital One at Harrison Crossing in Fredericksburg Va. This is the second time this has happened and I think it is the most unprofessional behavior that I have experienced. The Branch Manager, Fareen (might not be the right spelling) I have witnessed her with 2 different tellers degrade, yell, and just right rude to her staff. It is not very becoming of a customer to see that kind of behavior and on top of that it is not very good representation of Capital One for hiring someone like that. I suggest that she has a mandatory manager course that she should take or just get rid of her. If I was the teller on the other end I would be submitting a complaint to Human Resource. Please take care of this because if I have noticed it as a customer so have others.

Capital one cheats and lies.

Capital one us the worst finance company ever, they do not keep their. I got my auto loan 2007 2009 we were having some financial issues,I ask COAF,for an extension, which they did,by one month, They also took the monthly payment directly from my account, and we agreed to the first and fifteenth, they however tried to pull it out at least two days before, and incurred ISF, I never realized that these ISF were accumulating, and after paying off my car instead sending me my title, they sent me a bill for 1,546, I called to find out what that was for, and said late fees and bounce checks, tell me, really, if my money is coming out directly from my account, on the days we both agreed, how is the ***, can I owe late fees? the explanation made no sense, so I will fight this, even if it has to be in a class action suit.

You receive the title with the lienholder and yourself on the title. They give you lien release letter so you can have the lienholder removed from the title yourself.

How do i know this? Ive paid off a car & a truck. You lost the title and now you're mad cause you have to go through the process of getting a new title.

Do like most responsible people do. Put you valuable paperwork such as birth certificates & titles in a secure rememberable place.

This "shesharpshoots" is Xtremely litigious and delusional. Aside from her complaint(s) against WD and Cap1, she has filed a lawsuit against Loma Linda Hospital for wrongful death (all cases were dismissed). This "shesharpshoots" has also admitted to illegally recording conversations using a hidden USB recorder. She has filed false police complaints against gossip commenters, stating these commenters hired a hitman to kill her.

She has also accused a member of the LAPD of abusing his authority to gain info about her.

"Shesharpshoots" is a very bad shot; not a sharpshooter, and belongs in a mental institution.

I wish Good Luck to anyone seeking advise from this person.

I paid off my credit card on March 6, 2013, then get a statement on March 19, 2013 telling me I OWE INTEREST FROM FEB. 2013 ? When I called to try to get an answer for this, I am told that I "don't understand interest"....WTH? I understand that I was told on the phone what my TOTAL PAYOFF was, NOW THIS ? I do understand interest, I also understand a scammer when I talk to them......I have filed a compliant with the BBB, I do not mind paying what I owe, but I will NOT pay bogus charges.....I also cut up the card and sent it back....I prefer to do business with HONEST, ETHICAL COMPANIES....

If you decide that you don't want to receive prescreened offers of credit and insurance, you have two choices: You can opt out of receiving them for five years or opt out of receiving them permanently.

To opt out for five years: Call toll-free 1-888-5-OPT-OUT (1-888-567-8688) or visit www.optoutprescreen.com.

The phone number and website are operated by the major consumer reporting companies.

To opt out permanently: You may begin the permanent Opt-Out process online at www.optoutprescreen.com. To complete your request, you must return the signed Permanent Opt-Out Election form, which will be provided after you initiate your online request.

When you call or visit the website, you'll be asked to provide certain personal information, including your home telephone number, name, Social Security number, and date of birth. The information you provide is confidential and will be used only to process your request to opt out.

If you don't have access to the Internet, you may send a written request to permanently opt out to each of the major consumer reporting companies.

Make sure your request includes your home telephone number, name, Social Security number, and date of birth.

Experian Opt Out P.O. Box 919 Allen, TX 75013 TransUnion Name Removal Option P.O. Box 505 Woodlyn, PA 19094 Equifax, Inc.

Options P.O. Box 740123 Atlanta, GA 30374-0123 Innovis Consumer Assistance P.O. Box 495 Pittsburgh, PA 15230-0495 Why would someone opt out — or not? Some people prefer not to receive these kinds of offers in the mail, especially if they are not in the market for a new credit card or insurance policy.

They may prefer to opt out to limit access to their credit report information for credit and insurance solicitations, or to reduce some mailbox "clutter." However, some companies send offers that are not based on prescreening, and your federal opt-out right will not stop those kinds of solicitations. As you consider opting out, you should know that prescreened offers can provide many benefits, especially if you are in the market for a credit card or insurance. Prescreened offers can help you learn about what's available, compare costs, and find the best product for your needs. Because you are pre-selected to receive the offer, you can be turned down only under limited circumstances.

The terms of prescreened offers also may be more favorable than those that are available to the general public. In fact, some credit card or insurance products may be available only through prescreened offers. Does opting out hurt my credit score? Removing your name from prescreened lists has no effect on your ability to apply for or obtain credit or insurance.

If I decide to opt out, how long will it be before I stop getting prescreened offers? Requests to opt out are processed within five days, but it may take up to 60 days before you stop receiving prescreened offers. What if I opt out and then change my mind? You can use the same toll-free telephone number or website to opt back in.http://capital-one.pissedconsumer.com/constant-unsolicited-mail-to-start-credit-card-20130321394563.html#page-top Will calling 1-888-5-OPTOUT or visiting www.optoutprescreen.com stop all unsolicited offers of credit and insurance?

Calling the opt-out line or visiting the website will stop the prescreened solicitations that are based on lists from the major consumer reporting companies. You may continue to get solicitations for credit and insurance based on lists from other sources.

For example, opting out won't end solicitations from local merchants, religious and charitable associations, professional and alumni associations, and companies with which you already conduct business. To stop mail from groups like these — as well as mail addressed to "occupant" or "resident" — you must contact each source directly.

I agree with you, Capital One has got to be the worst credit card company I have ever dealt with. I called them to close my account, but they said I have to pay off my remaining balance before they can do that.

Like you I receive anywhere from 10-15 calls a day and no voice mail and it really *** me off. When I am ready to pay them, they will get their money, and the more they harass me the longer it will take.

Capital One in Cedarhurst, New York - The Worst Bank Ever

This bank fails time and time again. They can simply do nothing right. Their customer service reps are absolute losers who do not even make eye contact when you are waiting 45+mins to speak to one of them. The people at the counter can only make deposits and withdrawals. The attitude in that place is criminal, rude, atrocious, the adjectives could go on and on. The attitude in the place is unreal - I cannot fathom how they have stayed in business. I am withdrawing more than 100k from them immediately after my expereince today. Do yourself a huge favor - STAY AWAY FROM CAPITAL ONE and use one of their competitors. This isn't a "hater" post - this is my repetivie expereince, doing business first with North Fork Bank over 25 years ago and now Capital One. The company is a joke, the employees are a joke. Do not waste your time becasue they have un-knowledgeable and rude individuals working for them that might as well be street sweepers.

Yes, their online banking service is even worse. They lock up customers' accounts at will, questioning their identities, even when the accounts have been in existence for a decade with ING.

The employee at the bank changed my password so that I could no longer log in.

Then they said I didn't know my own birth date and birth place. This company is a total joke with its many manipulative, law-enforcement-wanna-be employees using company time to harass customers!
