Capital One in Birmingham, Alabama - Please Do Not Send More Than Required

I applied for a Capitol One credit card just this month. On the questions and answers section, it states that you could raise your credit limit by paying more than the required security deposit. I was required to pay $99 for my deposit for a $200 limit. I decided to pay $200 more because they stated they would match dollar for dollar anything above your limit. I decided to call because i had not received my card and asked what my limit was. I was told $400. The 1st customer service rep stated she needed to transfer me to a specialist. At that point i was told they had matched my deposit, so i wanted to know why Capitol One site states "How To Increase Your Credit Limit?.....Deposit More Money And We Match It Dollar For Dollar." OK, my math $200 limit, i deposited a extra $200 which should have been matched = $400 Plus the initial $200 limit = $600 limit. The specialist/rep, put me on hold, came back and stated after you receive your card, then you can deposit more money to increase your limit. She said that was under their "Terms & Conditions". I feel that it's very misleading to say one thing on their site and do another. I guess i will take my card and manage it wisely in order to rebuild my credit. PLEASE, get your card first, before you add more money for a increase. I pray that this complaint will be my one and only.

Capital One in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - They lie alot..go with another

Once you get them on the phone you have a hard time understanding them then second I know sometimes they put you on hold just to mess with you. My complaint is that I and my wife have requested a simple letter for our mortgage company. After 6 times of calling on different days and hearing, " We will get the phaxed out and have a letter sent to you today, or by five pm. I have told my wife to be nice on the phone so they would be more apt to doing it. First you somehow convince me that spending money to to spend money is a good idea then you give me no support and lie all the time. Of course you do not leave your whole name because 95 percent of you just b s us around. I have had it. If you say your going to do something then do it. By the way we will surely be canceling these junk cards. All because my interest needs to be paying for something of interest..

Capital One in Detroit, Michigan - Lied about payment arrangements

I filed bankruptcy but didnt include my ar because I wanted to keep it. I was told that I could'nt make payments during that time until discharged. I admit I should have been saving the payments but was facing financial hardships at the time. Once I was discharged, I contacted Capital One & was told to allow 45 days for the system to be updated. 1 month later, I receved a call telling me that I owed $2500 tp bring the account current. I told them I needed 2 weeks to do so. When I called them once I got the money they told me that the car was in repo status and the account was charged off and to contact a 3rd party. I never received anything or a phone call indicating that I had so many days to bring the account current and had I not called them after being discharged, I wouldnt have known that I needed to pay $2500. Bottom line, I lost my vehicle and now they claim that I can redeem it for $3500 which ic reposession fees, late fees, and past due payments. If they would have let me pay the $2500 before hand, I wouldnt have this issue. And after reading other complaints, Im now afraid to send them $3500 if they are still going to keep or sell my vehicle. They SUCK donkey balls!

Important rule of bankruptcy, always list all debts that you owe. This protects all your assets until the bankruptcy petition is resolved. By not including your car in the petition, you left yourself vulnerable to having your car repossessed.

Capital One Bank is worst

i have deposited money twice in direct ATM machines located at the door of a 355 rock ville, Maryland branch, machines counted the money, printed the receipt and shown it in current balance, but i could not get it even after 4 days until i went to the branch and complaint. whenever you call customer service of capital one bank, they all speak different and try to hide the loop holes. be aware of capital one banking. better to keep your money at your home instead of depositing it in sucha a poor bank like capital one bank. hope you can understand whats going on with me now, when i need my own money, and i could not get it or complaint even, because it is the weekend.

On line banking issues with Capital One Bank

Capital one is terrible when it comes to on line banking... when I logged in at 8 am on 3/29... instead of seeing m balances it said 'unavailable'... when I called on-line customer service they said their systems are updating, I should try to login in one hour At 9:30, same problem... when I called again, they said the same thing... when I asked at what time you anticipate the system to be back up... the representative said 'they have told us to say system is updating and you should log back in in 1-2 hours'. So they have no concept of time... at 8 am they say log back in in 1 hour and 9:30 they say try in 1-2 hours. Banks are supposed to do system updates at slow hours like midnight to 2 am... not at peak hours like 9 am. This is not the first time that I am having this problem with capital one.

Capital One in Scottsdale, Arizona - Been charged 3 times for same service!

Just received my Capitolone bill and note there are three different charges for my service why would there be three different charges in the amount of 104.54$twice and then another for $31.39? The absolute worst is that one cannot directly speak to a customer service representative. What is the majic of 100 words or more. This is a ridiculous waste of time to accomplish something you have stated as necessary to report the debacle Please have someone contact me immediately so this can be taken off my bill I am a very poor old lady Amen amen

Capital One--Last place to go

Several years ago, I finance a car through Capital One and you could not ask for better service. I purchased a newer car, fewer miles, lower interest rate, lower payments, etc. They were great. When it came time to purchase another car, I thought, why not stick with capital one. Biggest mistake ever. First, I purchased the car on the 27th of the month. My payments are due on the first. So, according to regulations, the first payment was not due until the first of October since I purchased on the 27 of August. Not so, they demanded a payment on the first of September. I have made arrangements and they continually call saying those arrangements are invalid. Make other arrangements, and they draft the ones they "voided" saying were invalid. Go online and cancel payments they have already received, they draft anyway. What happened to the great company I dealt with four years ago? What happened to their customer service? What happened to their willingness to work with their customers?

Capital One did the same to me... and apparently many, many others if you look online.

I started an auto loan with them last August on almost the same day as you. They told me my first payment would be the end of September. Indeed I didn't receive a bill until September. Magically a few months later Capital One started sending bill saying I am 30 and 60 days late even though Iv'e never missed a payment.

I happened to have the $$ at the time so I sent them double payment that month. Fast forward to today. Capital One has still been reporting me as anywhere from 30 - 90 days past due even though I've never missed one payment!

So instead of this loan raising my credit score, it has destroyed my credit! This is absolutely illegal!

Class action law suit anyone?

These Sorry jerks!! I paid off a $32000 truck loan with them in November, NEVER LATE!!

Get my report in January, 2012 It shows a 60-90 day late so I call credit dept. to correct, am told no problem, give some time and recheck, they have changed to 30 day late, still wrong, call again, no problem sir, again recheck, the tradeline is gone. Now they say since its paid off and its been 61/2 to 7 years sincE they have removed and refuse to reinsert. 6 years, auto loan and 2 c/c's and this is how they treat paying customers??

LOWEST OF LOW CAPITAL ONE IS A NIGHTMARE AND CAN SHOVE THESE 2 C/C'S ALSO!!! A NEW LOW FOR THESE CLOWNS!!

I am almost paid off with capitalone and we had our credit report it doesn't show the truck on mine or my husband's 5 years and no credit to show for also it doesn't even show a financing through them but they send the bills and demand payment. I'm pissed that's the only thing we have to help buuld our credit.

I told them they better report the last five years because it's owed to me and it's better then money. Haven't heard back gonna look into it legal wise.

Capital One Lied to me regarding credit increases

I applied and received a credit card from Capital One, with that I was told that if I made my payments on fime for 5 consecutive months that they would increase my credit limit. It has now been 7 months and I have, in fact, paid my balance early each month! I have asked them twice about an increase and was told both times that they only review credit limits at selective times during the year! I think that the real story is that I pay my card off every month so they are not making any money off of me in interest. It is very interesting to be lied to like that by a major credit card company. DON'T GET A CAPIAL ONE CREDIT CARD, THEY WILL LIE TO YOU!!
