Capital One Credit Card

What a joke! My wife called to cancel her Capital One credit card over the weekend and was told she had to call back at another number the following Monday. Amazing, since Capital One charges $29.95 a year in membership fees, boasting that the fee helps cover their wonderful 24/7 customer service - unless the nature of customer service is not something they want to provide! I told my wife to request a refund of her last membership fee - as the service provided is truly misleading. No wonder the credit card industry is under scrutiny all the time. They should never be self-regulated

Only narrow-minded idiots pay an annual credit card fee. The best credit cards in the world have a $0 annual fee. You and your wife really need to take a course or two in financing and or business.

Why did your loser wife cancel her credit card. You sound like a loser too.

Get a life and start paying your bills so we don't have to in membership fees. :grin

Loss

I have received multiple daily calls to my cell phone for almost a month, supposedly from Capital One. The first call of the day leaves a canned voice mail from "Linda" at Capital One telling me to call an 800 number. I don't have a Capital One account! They...

I think Capital One sucks! They should stop outsourcing their employees.

If there wasn't so much corprate greed they could hire people right in the USA.

Nothing more annoying than getting a call from Baboo Patel in Bombay India telling me that I haven't paid my credit card bill.

Note to corprate Capital One, stop giving yourselves ginormous checks, hire AMERICANS..... Just might help out the economy in the process.......

So, you F-up. Made a purchase from a bogus website..

and you expect the credit card company to pay for your stupidity? Wow!

You are something else. Next time, visit Best Buy, Target or even Walmart because you shouldn't have an Internet connection or credit card.

Never, never never ever get a loan from the sharks at Crapital one. The pestered us for months. They threatened to repo our car because we owed $448.00 left on it and were over two months behind. Finally they called one day and I had had enough. A friend of ours was...

I ran into hard times last year. I owed Capital One Bank $700.00. I couldn't pay on the debt. After several months went by, the interest, and collection costs zoomed. When the debt approached $2000 I had a family friend who is an attorney try to contact some of my...

"Written by us on August 22, 2011" What do you mean deadbeat? It sounds like he lost his job and there's no way to know if it was his fault or not. Probably not considering how employment works in this country.

I don't understand the tendency people have to assume that anybody who isn't successful is a deadbeat waste of life. Just because you were able get a job and support yourself doesn't mean that other people who can't are *** or lazy or worthless. Some people are presented with far more opportunity than others.

Things can be a lot harder when you don't have parents to support you while you save up money. It's funny how many people I've seen blow 1000s of dollars of their parents money every month and then they try to ridicule those less fortunate as if they had anything to with their parents' financial success.

And besides all of that, capitalOne is definitely to blame. capital One is a CC company that started building bank branches just to get TARP money from the government. The entire company was built on a lie and is essentially just a scam.

Credit Card Companies are really causing customers to keep getting their credit scores reduced which means there will be a lot fewer chances to expand personal investments, opportunities, etc. Lowering the Credit Limits down to the balance due but scoring does not...

Capital One charging interest on accounts paid in full by payment due date?

For the second month in a row they have charged me interest on an account that was paid in full well in advance of the payment due date. They have no problem crediting it but after it happened the second time I asked for an additional credit for their "system error" and as an additional penalty. It was only for $21.00 but felt it was fair since they wouldn't give the consumer a second chance on waving late payment fees. They usually will allow a one time courtesy credit so when I turned the tables they didn't like my logic. I will be cancelling tomorrow both my credit card account and my online money market accounts. Also had customer service rep from overseas tell me that I couldn't talk to a supervisor and that I had reached the highest level I could speak to over the phone. I will be speaking with what's in my wallet and moving it somewhere else. Good riddance!

Capital One in Livingston, New Jersey - Junk Mail everytime they ***!

Everytime we recieve a credit card application from Capital One they pull a credit report! When you recieve one that you do not ask for they do nothing for you but hurt you. Two to three times a month a "please apply for our card mail" shows up in the mail box but little do you know until you pull a credit report that they look at you. Ultimately they drastically knock down you score! Who gives them the permission? Unless we ask! DONT TOUCH!! Hey heres a application you did not ask for- And no you can not have credit because we are screwing you!
