Capital One in Reston, Virginia - Don't Touch Capitol One.

Six years ago, I agreed to NOT sue them for harrassment, after days of multiple phone calls. I also agreed to pay an actual balance of around $200.00, which I did. Now, out of the blue, they're sending me bills over a thousand dollars, for a card that was cut up six years ago. I've sent proof, they don't seem to get it. Looks like I'll have to sue them after all. I cannot urge you too strongly, don't touch these crooks with a ten foot pole, in spite of their slick TV ads!!!

6 years ago I had a fraud charge on my Capital One Card. It has never been resolved.

I ended up paying 200.00 in fees and late charges on that 50.00 fraudulent charge(made out of the country). I read here that the same tricks are still ongoing from this company. They say not to pay a disputed amount but they then charge you late charges for not paying the amount. Voice mail boxes are always full so its impossible to leave a message with anyone and customer service is useless.

My advice : just don't bother. its not worth the effort to deal with this shady company.

Capital One in Alexandria, Virginia - Rude and unhelpful manager

I called up my local branch manager esha koshikeri at germantown, she did not help me with my basic account questions and when i asked her to help me started quarreling. Very incompetent and poorly skilled staff. Capital one should get rid of such employees who are blowing *** in their pockets with their inflated ego and incompetence. If capital one wants to succeed customer experience should be a top priority. Such employees tarnish their image and make the customers run away. It does not make monetary sense or moral sense to keep such people while customers who bring in $ have to face such insincere and rude staff.

Capital One is terrible!

Capital One online banking is TERRIBLE!!! I opened an account offering a $50 bonus. They didn't give me the bonus. When I complained, they said that I didn't enter the promo code. I know I did. They should be investigated for fraud. This was on April 2011. I would never open an account there again. I think they hope you will keep your money there instead of having the hassle to take it out. I plan to contact the Better Business Bureau just so that others will know about this deceit. Please take the advice of all the others. Stay away from Capital One.

Capital One in Livingston, New Jersey - 27 calls within 2 days after due date

I have an auto loan at Capone. I had the due date changed for $25 and if they don't recieve it on or before they start calling. When you answer their calls they first of all can't speak English, and keep telling you that you have to state your name. The idiots don't seem to know who they call. My payment was due 4-28. Today is 5-1 and I have recieved no less than 35 calls from them. Do not use these fools. Very poor quality to do business with. The due date I originally asked for was finally satisfied, but they seem to think everyone is out to steal from their high interest loans.

We had my husbands phone number changed today and I will probably have mine changed next. The problem with that is they will start calling my work.

Capital One bank staff at Germantown MD ***

Very illmaneered and incompetent staff, when my brother asked my local branch maanger esha koshikeri she did not even seem willing to answer basic questions about an issue with his account, her ready made response to every question was to go to his local branch. seemed totally unhelpful , rude and incompetent. This bank has the worst online services and poor mangement. Capital one would be better off getting rid of such incompetent staff, such staff is BAD FOR BUSINESS. Its a shame that customers have to go through such trouble after reamining loyal customers for decades. This bank has the worst branch managers I have ever seen, this is just one of many instances I have had with this bank.

Capital One in Wallingford, Connecticut - Design your own credit card

I have just read an article that your company will not accept someone in a hunting outfit to be placed on the credit card that they wish to creat. If this is true I find your company's attitude disturbing and short sighted. In this day and age when the cost of everything is soaring out of sight many people supplement the food on the table by hunting. To have some pencil pusher decide that this is "hateful" is ***! I am a 69 year old retired schoolnadministrator who does not hunt, but I do exercise my right to have a permit to carry license. My credit rating is in the 98.9 percentile and you can rest assured that I will never carry a Capital One credit card if the position that I read about your company is true. You are not the only show in town and I hope that every NRA member considers canceling their Capital One card!

Capital One in Allegany, New York - Change of Terms is outrageous

We have carried Capital One cards for over a decade. Our initial interest rate for purchases was 6.9%. Credit score has always been very high and we have never had a late payment. Two years ago the rate was raised to 12.9% with no explanation other than it was an across the board action. We should have dumped the card then but didn't want to cause a credit scoring problem by closing one of our oldest accounts. With this month's statement the rate had been inexplicably increased to 16.9%. They expect me to keep my end of the bargain and live up to terms while they reserve the right to change them any time they choose. This is one of the most duplicitous and dishonest companies I have ever encountered. Do business with them at your own risk or better yet, don't do business with them at all.

...while this business practice is perfectly legal and happens across the board all the time, keep in mind that it's Capital One which is by far the overall indisputably WORST bank in the world!!! I'm surprised that they're not ranked higher in assets or profit than Bank of America because of their outlandish interest rates and fee structure.

I'm trying as hard as I can to pull my auto loan, but nobody's willing to refinance... :roll

I received a credit card in the mail from Capital one on April 3, 2011. I called to get a pin number and they gave me one over the phone. I put it in my wallet like a fool. I went out and lost my wallet. I had over 300 in cash advances taken off my card that night....

I'm being pursued by capital one for a credit card that i never had in the first place. My ex partner took the card out in my name after we separated and i've even sent proof to capital one that i didn't live at the address where the card is registered when it was taken out and they just seem to ignore me and still keep pestering me for the money.

They won't even speak to me on the phone as i can't give them the security information that they need as i never took the card out in the first place.

I laughed at them when they told me this because their security is so tight that they won't speak to you on the phone yet they'll send a card out to anyone without even checking that the person even lives at the address where the account is requested from. They're just out for what they can get and don't care about innocent victims.
