Capital One in Washington, District Of Columbia - Rubin Rothman refused my payment arrangement.
I recieved a letter from Rubin Rothman asking me to call to make payment arrangement. I called and spoke with Ms. Santos. She tried to ask me personal questions until I asked her what it had to do with me setting up a payment plan. I told her I could afford $100.00 dollars a month and she said that is NO GOOD that the min payment was $200.00 a month and they will file a judgement and that I was being recorded I told her I was recording her and she said that I had to advise her that I was recording her and she then said my payment is REFUSED. I guess I have to wait for them to file court papers unless someone else has any information for me

Took over 5 days to solve a simple balance problem. Not even the supervisor could authorize a simple balance adjustment. So much time wasted. Frustration with Capital One personnel and its far away call centers. Capital One needs to train its staff in the use of good common sense. I did receive 5 letters explaining that the situation had been cleared up. There are other credit card carriers that provide much better service. One might try using American Express or Discover card, or a credit union. The commercial "what's in your wallet" is a total time waste. Stay away from Capital One
Capital One in Austin, Texas - Lied to me about a 0% finance offer
I spoke to a customer rep in Jan about a 0% finance offer for 13 months. A month later they're charging me interest and saying that they have no record of the offer. They refused to help me or let me elevate my complaint to a manger, saying that the managers "don't take calls" and "there is no one here who can help you" and that I could write a snail mail letter to see if someone would be able to investigate my claim. Unbelievable. I have been a customer for 10 years and now I'm going to cancel my card.
Capital One in Chicago, Illinois - Capitol One Harrassment
Over the past 2 months I am being harrassed by Capitol One who is trying to collect a debt from my brother in law who does not live me, has never lived with me and who I am not resposible for nor cosigned anything for. They won't stop!!! What &^%$%&**. Does anyone else have this problem?? I cant even talk with a live person. All I ever get is a recorded message and the ability to leave a message. I guess maybe we can post something on Youtube and hope it goes viral. I will never do business with Capitol One.
Capital One charged $3.99/mo for stolen card protection
I found an unauthorized charge of 3.99 per month on my Capital One credit card for "stolen card protection." When I called to report the fraud, they at first acted like they were calling the company that was charging me. After about half an hour I got them to admit that it was Captital One itself that was charging me. It took another half hour with me having to endure two sales pitches from the "Fraud Division" before they finally agreed to refund all of the charges. BUT...they said it would take up to three billing cycles. What a scam. Don't get a card from this awful company.
Capital One Penalized me for paying off card
I had a Capital One Credit card that I used for over 6 years. I was never late and never went over the credit limit. I paid off the card and right after it was paid off they changed all the terms of the card and charged me a new $45 annual fee. The card never had an annual fee before. They changed the terms to penalize me for paying off the card. Do not do business with Capital One. They will charge you for being a responsible customer. I will be canceling this card soon even though it will hurt my credit score to do so.

Capital One in Washington, District Of Columbia - Capitol One Bank (Cheavy Chase bank) Greenbelt Coin machine is RIP OFF
"Capitol One Bank (Cheavy Chase bank) Greenbelt" So Today 3-03-2011 I went to this branch in Greenbelt MD to change some coins I had. Dimes I counted 75 dollars Home. But Machine counted $69.10 so I thought I might had mistake so I counted 13 dollars In Quarters and put it in its give me $9.90. Talk to lady over there she was NEXT TO NO HELP she told me oh went really cant say anything about machine we have heard problem before, so I asked her why its still same and On. She was like I cant help with anything if you want to Manager I can call so I was like OK and than she told me MANAGER is in Meeting it will take Few HOURS. What the ***. NO ONE HELPED ME there than Manager came oh sir sometime there are FAKE COINS and machine Keep it what the *** why there is Box says RETURN COINS why Machine don't give it over there RETURN.???? he was next to no *** Help so I walked out (I believe its took 18 to 20 % than top of that 10% FEE TOTALLY RIP OFF
Capital One has aggravated me for years.
I have considered Capital One a fraud for Many years and have complained to them. They always bombard my credit report with inquiries every month.(which I did not ask for.) It brought my credit score down. Now I am getting solicitations for a new credit card with my name and address and a company (Bit by Bit Computers)that I have no association with. I have called the 800 number to opt out but it does no good. I had an account with them years ago, but there was always something they hassled me with so I closed it.

I received a new card for Capital One..because I sent a payment before I received a due date they claimed they thought it was fraud activity...isn't that an *** thought. What bank do you know would turn down a payment. Anyway, they never notified me that they thought this was an issue..I just happened to call to inquire why I could not use my card. So to make matters worse...I find out from my bank that they took the money anyway and applied it...now remember they froze the card cause I sent a payment too early...is this making any sense to you guys? Sounds like the double rewards is now in their wallet!!!!!!
