All those coin machines charge to use them. YOu should have known that before you used it.

Actually, only being charged 5.90 on $75 worth is better than most I've seen. Quit *** about it and do something better with your time.

Capital One has aggravated me for years.

I have considered Capital One a fraud for Many years and have complained to them. They always bombard my credit report with inquiries every month.(which I did not ask for.) It brought my credit score down. Now I am getting solicitations for a new credit card with my name and address and a company (Bit by Bit Computers)that I have no association with. I have called the 800 number to opt out but it does no good. I had an account with them years ago, but there was always something they hassled me with so I closed it.

Capital One in Huntington Station, New York - Outraged Customer-Double rewards is in their wallet!!

I received a new card for Capital One..because I sent a payment before I received a due date they claimed they thought it was fraud activity...isn't that an *** thought. What bank do you know would turn down a payment. Anyway, they never notified me that they thought this was an issue..I just happened to call to inquire why I could not use my card. So to make matters worse...I find out from my bank that they took the money anyway and applied it...now remember they froze the card cause I sent a payment too early...is this making any sense to you guys? Sounds like the double rewards is now in their wallet!!!!!!

Are you seriouse? This incident was so horrible that you are outraged?

What a joke. Get a life. Just use a different card or different form of payment until it gets straightened out.

Or are you that broke that this card was the only way to make a purchase? That would be outrageous and irresponsible.

I just had the same issue of sending a payment before receiving a bill and my account was placed on temporary restriction with Capitol One today b/c they thought it was fraud. Really?

If they thought it was fraud they should have placed a hold on the account after I made two charges the second day after I got the card. I never heard of such stupidity.

Capital One

Hi I have a Capital One card that I had an interest fixed rate and not introductory rate of 7.99% and then I get my statement and my payment had almost tripled because they raised my interest rate to 18% after I had the low rate for almost 3 years. They said they sent me a letter stating they were going to do this which I really don't recall. I really don't have a problem repaying the amount that I charged and I don't have an issue with paying interest on anything that I might have purchased on the card after they raised my interest to the 18%. I do however have a problem with them charging me 18% interest on everything I accured when it was 7.99%. Just a warning to anyone who gets that great introductory rate that they say is fixed. They will change it and pretty much tell you to deal with it when you call them. It was a hard lesson that I'm going to be paying for a long while.

Capital One in Washington, District Of Columbia - Receive calls to collect past due credit cards. I never had a card.

I have never had a Capital credit card and now I receive calls from "Ragheads trying to collect money. I have complained to Abuse@capitalone.com and only receive an eMail stating their privacy policy. These calls come from a toll free number. I have been abusive and they now come from "non-ragheads" I have tied to send complaints to Capital One; but their system does not allow any complaints other than to abuse@capitalone.com. I have been told by some of the callers they will remove my number from their list; but this does not happen. I need help to access capital one.

That great collection company are the biggest *** in the country. They have been and are still being sued for unfair collection practices.

I'd be willing to bet all the calls you were getting were from them not cap one. They call from different numbers tell you anything to try and get your money. They will call at all hours misrepresent themselves and so on. Now you have a charge off from Cap.One and a structured settlement from Portfolio and both will stay on your credit for as long as they can get away with it.

You will have to make them stop reporting it so whatever paper they sent you keep it safe so in 7 years you can prove that it should be removed from credit reports.

Also watch that they are not posting same account under a different number and may also change amount due. Good luck your going to need it.

I recently accepted a pre-approved offer and boy has it been down-hill since I hung up. I called to activate my new card and was told that the card was now activated and I was welcomed to the family. Within the hour I attempted to purchase gas and it was DECLINED!...

We had exactly the same experience yesterday x 2. My wife and I each got a new account and they were both put on fraud hold shortly after being activated.

Talked to several "senior account managers" yesterday. Not sure what their job is supposed to be, but none of them are helpful or have any authority. They all stated that their supervisors do not take calls. I seriously can't believe that with all of their technology that they expect me to wait at least 4 business days to resolve this issue.

We immediately faxed in the requested documents yesterday. This has been a one of the worst customer service experiences we have had in a long time.
