Harrassed By Capital One

1. Capital One calls every month asking me to pay my mortgage...before it is due. I have called and talked several times to various "Account Managers". My complaint has fallen on deaf ears, even when I have threatened to sue due to harassment. 2. This has been going on since October 2009, so it is not an isolated incident (now Nov. 2010). 3. Capital One bought Chevy Chase in 2009, who is the original owner of my mortgage (no problems with them!!!). Services have dissipated or been rolled back. It is as if they make it more difficult to do business with them...or at least that is the perception. 4. Anyone who signs up with Capital One is a fool. I don't have a choice. This company is a hardball company who will harass and hound anyone who has a loan with them.

Capital One is poor company and customer service employees are in Central America. They don't care about your business and would rather take jobs away from folks.

Capital One Harressment

Capital One has called and harressed both my husband and I numerous times a week asking for an account we no longer have. We both have asked them to cease in the calling, but they say not without a SS#. Capital One has no right to ask such personal information. My township police came, however reccommeded getting in contact with BBB, they have stronger connections in getting class action suits against Capital One as well as any organization requestiong such personal information. Capital One should be closed down, fined, class action suit filed against them to the fullest extend law.

Capital One in Chicago, Illinois - Repeated daily calls requesting information

This number calls several times daily. Husband purchased a car financed through Capital One Finance less than a month ago. Car payment is NOT even due yet. Calls come in under the premise that it is a welcome call They even called at 9:00 p.m. on a Sunday night. Asks for personal information over the phone such as address, social security number, and even our telephone number. Refuse to give them any information whatsoever. They said to have husband contact them. Husband called and a recording said the number was not in service. What kind of outfit is this that continually harrasses a person to "welcome" them to their company and asks for your home address? This is not account verification--this is outright harrassment. The foreign-speaking woman is rude and persistent. Do they make their money from repetitive calls to the loan holders? I perceive this as a scam and someone had better close up this call center. This is definitely not good PR for Capital One.

CAPITAL ONE IS THE WORST WHEN IT COMES TO CREDIT CARDS CONSUMERS BE WORN

I applied for a Capital One credit card and after being approved i made my first purchase the credit card was decline and account frozen. I called and they claimed that something triggered a fraud alert. They made me send them all types of personal items like bank statements, copy of Drivers License , home bills, job pay stubs and after sending them all that personal information they turn around and tell me that they don't believe that its me trying to open the account . You have a Bunch Of *** work there . And the worst part is that they are going to put this on my credit report and this will lower my credit score.

Capital One is the first bank that I got a credit card through, my feonce and I always sent our payments together in one envelope and it gets paid correctly every month. About 4 months ago now they credited his account with my payment and charged late fees and interests to my account.

They have since reported this to the credit bureaus and have not taken fault for any of thier mistakes. When we decided to buy our first home the realtor told us that CAPITAL ONE has some kind of pull with the credit unions because it doesn't take much for them to be able to KILL your credit score. She said she had many customers with our same issues and that even she has tried to call on behalf of her customers and gets put on hold by a representative that barely knows how to speak English.

I DESPISE CAPITAL ONE BANK! DONT' GET FOOLED INTO USING THERE CREDIT CARDS, WITH HIGH INTERESTS RATES, ANNUAL FEES AND *** CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Capital One Repersenatives

I was trying to get in touch with Capital One to ask about my fruad report i filed with them them last week. I was transferred and put on hold for over ten minutes with each transfer. After all the holding and transferring I was still transferred back the the person I first starting talking to. It really made me upset when eveyone kept saying,"they are very sorry but please hold while I transfer you. No one took the time out to see what i needed, because as soon as I said Fraud their first respons was to transfer me. I told them every time I get transferred it takes me in a circle and then after being on hold agian, I hung up because i was too irritated to stay on the phone any longer.

I Recently applied for the card and soon after I was very surprise to receive a bill from Capital One for the monthly fee for $3 even when my credit card didn't arrive to my attention yet. I called customer service to explain my situation and they were not helpful. They couldn't wavier the fee even though I didn't even receive my card yet. Word of advise, If your planing to apply for capital one credit card, make sure to follow up on a phone call to make sure if you've been approved and look out for your card.

Capital One in Stone Mountain, Georgia - Capitol One Is the Devil!

I have always been on time with my payment, spoke with a rep in August because I knew I would have a problem in September. thought I was being proactive. Rep told she enrolled me in a program where you don't have to pay for 3 months with no late charges. Now I am behind and they say that was wrong info and nothing they can do. I ask for supervisor to listen to the call so they can accept responsibility and she said they can't. Now I am 30 days late because their rep gave me wrong info.

The program is that you do not get a late fee for 3 months. and I can be positive that the agaent didn't state you do not have to make a payment for 3 months. because there's not a program like that with capital one.

I know how you feel I had the same thing happen to me. What is worse is that you can't get anyone who speaks clear english on the phone. I even tried to set up payments over the phone to avoid late fees and they keyed my account wrong and could not recieve the payment on the date it was set up to come out and then they reported it on my credit due to their mistake.

Capital One in Fort Pierce, Florida - Sent to collection for a 6 day late

Watch out. I forgot to pay Capital One in September. Instead of being paid by the first of the month which is my payment due date, I paid on the 9th. The collections company was on the phone on day 6 and even though the payment was made, I recieved a demand later a week later for the entire amount. Capital One sends customers with perfect credit history to collections for 6 days late. A late payment can't even be reported to the credit bureaus for 30 days. What is this company thinking? I know what's not in MY wallet anymore. The collections company is overseas and I am not sure what language the callers speak but it's not exactly English. BE Warned!

Me too! I found this when searching to see if it had happened to anyone else.

We're usually great about paying on time. This month we were six days late. Capital ONe called and my husband paid on the phone right then and then today, a week or so after he paid we get a letter form NCO Financial, a collection agency that has tons of complaints online about its abusive practices.

When I called Capital One to tell them what I think about their treatment of their customers, I get a dude named "Nate" in India who keeps repeating a script over and over. We're paying off our account next week and had planned to keep it open for emergencies but now I'm not so sure I want to do business with a company that does its customers like that.

Something similar just happened to me. I went $7 over my limit and was sent to collections.

My accounts is still open and active. I paid it as soon as I realized I went over the limit.

Even though I cleared that up, the collection agency is still calling me, because they say I'm lying. This is ridiculous!

Interestplus savings with capital one

Gaining access to my funds after opening an account and transferring funds to Capital One's interest plus online account was like pulling teeth. Five phone calls, 2 hours of my time, and several promises by the company that I could access my account within 24 hours of my call....nothing. My final call resulted in my refusing to end my call until I had access to my account. The employee at Capital One reluctantly helped me and I quickly transferred all my money back to my other bank. Capital one's credit card division is wonderful, their banking...not so much.

Capital One is awful. This bank is by far the WORST experience I have ever had in banking!

The customer service is terrible. Nobody knows anything or can do anything.

It is like they are reading off a scripted sheet. What ever happened to good customer service?
