Capital One in Los Angeles, California - Customer Service is terrible. Why do reps have such bad communication skills?

Called to report a lost card. Had to speak to 4 reps before finding someone who could communicate and understand my issues. Contacted the executive office. No response. Does not seem like they care about their customers. Contacted FaceBook. Got a response but although he could communicate, he was helpless. I have been a satisfied customer for years but now considering looking elsewhere. I believe that a business should be concerned about a customer and do whatever is possible to satisfy. Capital One Failed.

LOL... You wear a 25% interest rate like a badge of honor.

Hint...It isn't. That's a terrible rate most likely earned because of bad credit. The same credit(and/or a series of late pays or violation of your agreement) that got you bumped up to 33%. Those reps aren't uninformed, they know you can't handle your business hence the high rates.

They also know that anyone else you talk to isn't going to give you something you didn't earn like a lower rate.

If you want some goodwill, clean up your credit before trying to go somewhere else for a better rate that you're likely not to get. OK...this is the point where you're going to say I must work for them.

On August 19, I called your office for auto payment $100 per month which will from September. *** employee set it up from August. Therefore, I paid twice for August and auto payment caused three overdrafts from my bank account from August 22 to the present times. It was chain reaction on my account for three overdrafts which I paid $105. You refunded only $100 to my bank after I faxed my bank records as the evidence. I paid $13 for two faxes. However, you never refunded $105, and never showed sincere apology from mistake. I have got very upset & angry everyday on this matter.

Capitol One is the worst company on the planet. I have had a card with them for years and went use my card for $14 tonight and it came up declined.

I was mortified and called to see what the deal was. They explained to me that I was 3 days pass due and the put a stop on the card. Who does this? What credit company does this to their customers?

I have been in good standing and had thousands left on credit still available yet they still blocked the card. I called and they just said that this is how we do things. It is safe to say that I will be canceling my Captial One account tomorrow and will take my business elsewhere.

They don't value their paying customers the way that they should and I deserve to be treated better. Thanks for opening my eyes Capital One and good luck screwing ur customers!

... I go back with the *** since 1992 when the punk outfit was called Signet Bank... Took me over 5 yrs to get rid of those rotten parasites... I was 'late' on payments even though I mailed them 10 days before, Yea!... And and it would take them 4 MONTHS to credit my account.... NO KIDDIN!!! I applied for 2 more of their funky cards, and with the 3 ran up a $12,000 bill..-:) I live in So. Calif and we can 'opt out' if we don't want bill collectors' calls. But man these creeps must own their own forest, for the amount of letters I got... Anyway when the 'timing' was right, 5yrs later (1.5 yrs ago) I paid them $1,100 and forced them to delete all the accounts off the 3 bureaus.. (PS: paid as agreed is No Good--- beware) The only major ding in my credit reports vanished into thin air... HA HA HA...

No joke. I opened an account with these bastards when I was barely 18 years old because I needed money for college.

I paid payments for 2 years then fell on hard times and closed the account with about $1,000 balance. I moved a few times and forgot all about them. They never took me to court. Earlier this year (10 YEARS LATER) some collection agency calls me up, "Uhhh yeahhh Mizz Mar-Martian?" (It was Mar-shand).

"Uhhh yeahh...we wit uhhh collection agency attempting to collect a debt for Capital One." I rack my brain and remember the account...I ask if the account had ever went to court (it hadn't), so I ask why they are even trying to collect when they can't legally take me to court? The operator gets all flustered and ends up yelling at me to pay my debt, I laughed and told her they should have sued me when they could and to stop calling me.

CAPITAL ONE FAKE CASH BACK PROGRAM

I was looking for a cash back card, as my debit card no longer offer cash back. I checked CAPITAL ONE website and the card I wanted had 2% cash back on grocery and gas. So I decided to apply. They give me only $500 credit, but is was ok as I was going only to use it for gas and grocery. After few months I log in to redeem the points and I find out that...SORRY NO CASH back and NO rewards of any kinds. I call customer service and they said "APPLY FOR A NEW ONE" Really???!!! Very unprofessional! I will move to discovery and hope it is not going to be an other scam!

Capital One Credit Card fraud

I opened my capital one credit card 2 months ago. I paid my balance 2 weeks ahead of my due date and it said my balance is zero. I thought I could use my credit card by now. With my surprise and embarrassments, my card was rejected. I called the company and they said my payment was on hold even though they clearly withdrew my money from my bank account 2 weeks ago. They said they put "hold" onto the payment for up to first 4 payments for several weeks. They are using my money without interest for that period.

Just add that to the massive list of things this company does to make the money they need to make those expensive commercials. This company is just a front for major Fraud.

I still cannot believe there hasn't been a class action against them. Eventually they will run out of customers and have to be bought out or change their name so they can start all over again.

Capital One Penalized me for paying off card

I had a Capital One Credit card that I used for over 6 years. I was never late and never went over the credit limit. I paid off the card and right after it was paid off they changed all the terms of the card and charged me a new $45 annual fee. The card never had an annual fee before. They changed the terms to penalize me for paying off the card. Do not do business with Capital One. They will charge you for being a responsible customer. I will be canceling this card soon even though it will hurt my credit score to do so.

I had a $2,000 balance that I racked up in one month. I went to use my card after I paid the $2,000 and it was declined.

They put a hold on my account for 10 days because I paid my bill! In other words, i'm being penalized for paying off my card. They said it was because if you pay over $2,000 that was a red flag.

You've got to be kidding me! Capital One sucks
