Someone opened account in my name back in 2004 and Capital One chased me for 10 yrs. In 2008 they took $300.00 then 2012 Capital one took $1,200 out of my account court ordered. And i had to close my bank account .for 2 yrs I had to drive a hr. away to cash my check . Finally in 2014 I got capital one to listen to me they sent me back $ 930.00 of what they took . I FEEL I needed a lawyer for all the harassment for 10 years I have all the letters that they sent me harassing me if there's somebody that can help me please let me know!

Capital One is not billing correct interest rate
I received an offer from Capital One for convenience checks with a promotional rate of 5.99% as long as checks posted by 11/15/2010. So I wrote two checks on 11/7. The first posted to Capital One within a few days and I received the promotional rate on it. The second posted to the Capital One card on 11/15. When I received my statement though, I did not get the promotional rate even though the mailing clearly stated in multiple places the offer was good through 11/15. Thankfully I kept all the paperwork. So Capital One is INCORRECTLY charging the wrong interest rate on this transaction, a much higher one of 17.9%. I phoned Capital One and was on the phone for 30 minutes with a representative stationed God-knows-where who could not help. The supervisor he transferred me to was better; she is sending this over to another department to review. Just in case that is not enough to get this corrected, I just wrote their "disputes" department, and am sending copies of all the paperwork I saved, including the initial offer which clearly states "must post by 11/15. Here\'s what I am sending them, minus of course the dollar amount and other information that is personal. And my caveat to you reader, is to save paperwork and check your statements carefully, especially when dealing with Capital One. I am writing to notify you that you have made an error in the interest rate being applied to the transaction dated November 15, 2010. That check qualified for a special transaction rate. Please see the following attachments: Attachment A – copy of letter from you "Dated Notification" . It states "Act by 11/15/2010 and get a 5.99% APR for 12 months. It also says "limited-time"…. "must post to your account by November 15, 2010. Attachment B – copy of second part of letter from you, right above the checks you sent. See the section titled "Use-by-date"; it clearly states "these checks must post to your account by November 15, 2010 for the promotional APR to apply. Attachment C – copy of statement from you showing that the check for $xxx posted on November 15, which means it qualifies for the 5.99% interest rate. Please rectify your error immediately, adjust the interest rate retroactively to the 5.99% rate that should have been charged. Otherwise, I will be taking legal action.

We have a personal loan and have been paying on it for a few years. My complaint is they will not work with you. I wanted to lower my payments and extend them. I have never been late or missed a payment. They say they don't do that. Thank god I only have a year and a half and we are done with them. Their ads are mis-leading They will never be able to ask me whats in your wallet and have me say Capitol One. Every time that ad appears on TV I say to whom ever I'm with not to use them.

I had to withdraw some retirement funds, but it enabled me to close out my Capital One account. Capital One has been bleeding my family dry by jacking our interest rate to 29%. They are *** They were making good money to begin with prior to becoming loan sharks. Now I will never do business with them or any company associated with them. Good luck to all trying to get away from this horrible company.I switched to USAA Bank but you need to be a veteran to open an account or be related to one. I know Wells Fargo hasn't been great to all it's customers but they have treated my family well.

I'm on disabilty(SS) I aplied to have my acount paid off, I was denied, because I didn't get it to them within 12 mo. Kiss my *** I have been paying for protection for years, and when you need it you get ***, just like medical insurancce, oh we don't cover that, so you die. Keep paying folks, you need it you won't get it. Just keep giving money to the corp greed in America. Jerks need to shut down. I needed to cut down on out going money, and of course I can't do that. So I cancelled the jerks, why pay them and increase the balance, and pay Cap One mor intrest. Could be the bonuses are about to be given out?
Capital One in Sacramento, California - 866-834-2446
For the last four weeks I've received calls from 866-834-2446. I do not have a Capital One card and told gthem they had the wrong number. I will never have a Capital One card. Today, while I was out, they called 10 times and did not leave one message on my recorder. I called the number on my caller ID - it was Capital One. I told them if they ever call me again I will sue them for harrassment -- and I don't even have one of their *** cards!!! Don't kow what Capial One does to their poor credit card holders - assassinate them???
Capital One Customers Dumped
Capital One has turned to no longer allowing credit increases to ANY customers. It is, as they call it, "careful consumerism". Now, a customer may no longer request an increase, but instead accounts are (potentially) reviewed once every 12 months, however, the customer is not informed of said review and will not be told of the results one way or the other unless an increase is miraculously approved by their "random research". On the other hand, brand new, young, high-risk customers (my 19 year old sister for example) are given three to four increases within the first six to eight months for being a new applicant, yet long standing customers are not even allowed to request. No one in that company can tell you when or how a review will be held, so you're told to hope for the best for the remainder you keep your card (which in my case, lasted five minutes.) How can they be allowed to treat customers SO badly?? Economy or no, this is classic trashing of the customer. I hope this company crashes and burns as it deserves. I am infuriated with myself for wasting so many years with this company. FYI, Citibank is the way to go for true customer service and value of the customer.
