Capital One Holding Car Lien Hostage
Car is paid off. Lien release letter never sent.
Capital One's system is unable too print a lien release letter that will satisfy the Maryland DMV with all of the data that is required by the state. Capital One's representatives do not have access to the internet to read the state's requirements. I had to fax them a copy. Capital One is unable to type and sign a lien release with required data to transfer title.
DMV will not transfer title. End result is I cannot sell the car to a personal buyer. Have lost two buyers because title lien release letter is inadequate. Capital One will not let me speak to anyone that can provide a solution.
CAPTITAL ONE IS UNWIILLING AND UNABLE TO RELEASE A VEHICLE LIEN AND COMPLY WITH STATE LAWS. Over three hours spent on the phone while representative discussed the issue with the "back office".
Office of the president needs three business days to think about complying with the state requirements. I will never do business in any form with Capital One.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Monetary Loss: $7500.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
Capital One Cons: No accountability, Current policies.
