Capital One in Thornhill, Ontario - No Hassle Rewards is a huge hassle

I got the capital one aspire card for the rewards. Big Scam. I called and they told me I had $1800 worth of "No Hassle rewards". So, i bought a ticket for a trip for about $3,000 and i called them and asked them to apply the $1,800 towards the trip. And unfortunately, they said that they can only apply the points if it covers 100% of the ticket. So, if the ticket was $1,800 then there is no issue. But if the Ticket is $1801, then my points are worthless and cant be applied. Even with Air Miles they let you pay the difference in cash. I also have an AMEX and they have no issue with partial redemption's. Calling these rewards as "No Hassle Rewards" is extremely misleading when they place restrictions that no other reward companies have.

If you'd read the terms and conditions that was sent with your card... you would have known this.

It's always been their policy.

Like it or not, it's plainly stated. No sense in complaining because you didn't read what you were agreeing to.

Capital One Visa not honoring travel points

Here is what I wrote to the company: Wow, you guys really disappointed my husband and I, and we are definitely telling a lot of friends and family about our complaint. I called about our reward points today and spoke to a supervisor, Lisa, and of course got nowhere. My husband and I have been planning a special trip to Spain and decided to go business class if we could find a good fair. He called the rewards center and was told that we just purchase our tickets and then we would be credited $2400 towards our flights. Well we found a really good business fare (still a lot for us) and before he bought the tickets he called the rewards center again to make sure that we would get a rebate. So, we bought the tickets and then found out that because the ticket was $2700 and the rewards were only worth $2400 they would not apply. This was buried in the small print. OK, our bad for not reading the small print…but really? What difference is it to Capitol one if they send us $2400 for two cheaper tickets or a credit towards a more expensive one? Bottom line is that you just don't want to honor your commitment to us. We have been building these points for years and feel very betrayed that we can't use them when we want to. As usual, a business makes a commitment to lure customers in and then do anything they can to not honor that commitment.

Capital One Reward Card

Capital One in Palm Springs, California - CapitalOne Costumer Service

I have been a Visa Signature account holder with CapitalOne for a number of years. I've been lead to believe that not just anybody is able to obtain a "Signature" account. That holds little value with CapitalOne. I was looking into redeeming some of my reward miles and discovered I was 28 days past due on a whopping $68. What really angered me was that I had never received a paper bill nor an email informing me of my balance. I immediately scheduled an online payment through my bank. I then proceeded to try and purchase an airline ticket. Guess what? CARD DENIED! I called CapitalOne, got disconnected from the first representative and called back. After receiving the run around I told them I wanted to speak with a manager. Same thing from the manager. They refused to re-instate my account till payment had been received. Had my account had a history of late payments or past due balances I might have been able to understand; however, considering my account has never been past due or even carried a balance, I was livid. If this is the way they treat their high value accounts, they can keep them. I'll be taking the remainder of my business elsewhere. I'll never do business with CapitalOne again.

Capital One Reward Card

Capital One is a Rip Off

Capital One Credit Cards are a rip off. Their promises do not match reality. For example, their sale reps promise that their travel award program operate just like the major airlines, but better. For example, the sale rep told me that 35,000 reward points would get me on a trip to the Caribbean, which is similar to the frequent flyers programs of the major airlines. The reality is that you would need two times or more for such a trip (70,000+). Capital One lies. I will stick with the major airline frequent flyer programs and my advise to others is to stay away, far away from Capital One.

Capital One in Carson City, Nevada - Capital Rewards Spam Call, Possible Phishing

Over the last three months or so, I've been receiving calls from Capital Rewards, claiming that I've won some sort of reward for using my Visa debit card. Being that I work for the credit union that issued the card, I knew that we had no such program in place. I've instructed them time and time again to not call, and it doesn't help. Finally, I put myself on the National Do Not Call list, and have started reporting this company for spamming and possible phishing. Hopefully, this will stop all the calls, since I've already received two today.

Capital Rewards called me today also and hung up when I asked them why were they calling about my visa card. We should be able to sue these people for the amount of calls from them.

It is clearly harrassment.

A company called Global Marketing has been calling me at least 5 or more calls a day. It is just not right for them to be able to do this every single day.

They have been calling me once everyday. I used to ask them everytime to remove me from their calling list, but they would hangup before I could finish the sentence.

So now I just answer the phone and yell expletives at them.

They wont go away. So would you please join me in making the people that work for this vial company feel as bad as possible so that they will quit and the endless cycle will stop!

Capital One Reward Card
I recently received a "special offer" for 0% APR for 12 months from Capital One. The letter stated that if I used any of the three attached checks by the deadline, I would receive this low interest rate for a year. So I used two checks (both of which were...
