Capital One Master Card has horrible customer service policies! I payed my balance in full electronically through my bank's bill pay system. I have been paying this same way for years. I received an email confirming that my payment posted to my account three days prior. However, when I tried to use the card it did not work. I called Capital One and was told that they had put my payment on hold for 9 days! I am furious!!! It was an electronic payment from my bank, and my credit should have been available to me. Credit card companies have their own investments, and it is very clear to me that they wanted to hold the money, so that they could gain interest on their investments, rather than making my credit available to me. My advice -- NEVER get a credit card from CAPITAL ONE.

Capital One sent condolence letter six years too late
A customer of Capital One for over ten years..after calling to activate my credit card, I was asked if I wanted the "other" card on the account activated. I had to explain the other card belonged to my spouse-who i had to explain was deceased. Days later I randomly received a letter conveying " their sincerest condolences" for the loss of my husband ( who passed away six years ago). The letter was curt and insensitive, not to mention the timing of it was completely unacceptable. It was appalling to open this computer generated letter, signed by no one. This company does not care about its customers and sends automated, heartless condolence letters without regard for the recipient or how this might make them feel. Capital one should either send a sincere note in a timely manner or nothing at all.

On line banking issues with Capital One Bank
Capital one is terrible when it comes to on line banking... when I logged in at 8 am on 3/29... instead of seeing m balances it said 'unavailable'... when I called on-line customer service they said their systems are updating, I should try to login in one hour At 9:30, same problem... when I called again, they said the same thing... when I asked at what time you anticipate the system to be back up... the representative said 'they have told us to say system is updating and you should log back in in 1-2 hours'. So they have no concept of time... at 8 am they say log back in in 1 hour and 9:30 they say try in 1-2 hours. Banks are supposed to do system updates at slow hours like midnight to 2 am... not at peak hours like 9 am. This is not the first time that I am having this problem with capital one.

bad customer service at capital one bank at clopper mill in Germantown, MD. The teller named Silvia Sanchez is extremely rood and makes faces and yells at me every time I go to deposit it is a verry bad service. I am thinking take this up to the district manager of the bank, i am also taking out all my money fro this bank and going to TD bank because of this reason. This bank does not deserve my business because of this bad employee named Silvia Sanchez. I supper supper hate this bank just because of this employee. very bad

they're one of the worst banks ! i recently open with them and deposit a "payroll check" it took over a week and a half before it was released to me then on top of that when it finally was they told me i owed them money! but yet i havent no used my card at all ! i will be closing my account today ! this was the most ridiculous things ever. i never had a problem with banks but siince i started with them its problems non-stop. i talked to a lady at the branch over the phone and she was just rude and frustrationg to talk to.

Capital One Banking provides poor service
Chevy Chase Bank was a good banking company with good customer service until Capital One bought them out. Now service is terrible. Even writing a letter to the CEO (Fairbanks) only resulted in a voice mail from some individual who wanted to "talk" to me about my complaint. When call was returned and voice mails left twice they never called back. Not even a letter of apology or offer to help was ever receieved. The branches are always understaffed with inexperienced people that do not always speak clear English. I will be pulling my larger money accounts out to another, possibly local bank, and be done with Capital One. It seems they are so busy spending huge amounts of money on advertising and marketing looking for new customers that they can't take care of their existing customers.
