I've had the worst experience with Capital One bank fraud department, I had to stay on hold for almost an hour, and when the guy picked up the call, he asked me a question, I forgot that I was on mute, so it took me few seconds to realize, as soon as he did not get the...

I have been a CapitalOne customer for 8 years. I recently received an offer for their QuickSilver card and, because of the cash back benefits, I thought why not. I applied for the card and was accepted. In the intervening time, I left my credit card at a friend's, but...

Are you too *** to realize.... a double charge comes from a merchant charging twice or an over zealous consumer clicking buttons more than once.

Capitalone (or any other company for that matter) doesn't double bill you. They only bill you for sales records they receive. Be an adult and contact the merchant and request a refund.

Don't blame a company who is allowing you to buy something you probably couldn't afford otherwise.

Capital One - Account Review from New York, New York

I got behind on my capital one card due to an emergency medical situation. I was sent a letter offering a three payment option to bring card current. I called and set up auto payments. I was told that once the third payment was made the account would be current and the card could be used. Following the third payment I called and was to the card is closed and if I wanted a capital one card I needed to apply for a new card. When I questioned this the associate said he was sorry I was given misinformation. I believe that they are trained to say what they did to get the payments made. I believe this is an illegal activity (illegal collection activity)!

Nope, not illegal. They don't have to keep your account open. And if you stop paying before you zero out your balance, they will sue you and garnish your paycheck.

Capital One in New York, New York - Froze my line of credit

When CapitalOne bought out North Fork I was assured nothing would change. I had a line of credit for years that was cancelled by CapitalOne because they didn't like that I wasn't paying down. I thought banks made money by lending. My credit rating is 800 so there is no problem. I have called and e-mailed the officer that made this decision for an explanation but have never been favored with a response. To make matters worse I must receive 2-3 mailing from them to borrow money. Since I am retired and living on a fixed income the burden of paying down the line of credit at what was $10,000 per month is a hardship.
