So, YOU tried to use a card that YOU didn't have and it's the bank pulling a hustle on the public. Get out of here.

Your account was probably pulled over from Synchrony(an organization you people whined about ad nauseum) and the process isn't complete. Tell you what rube, how about you just pay cash or do without and you'll never have to worry about cards, fraud or offshore call centers. Of course, you'll have to deny yourself immediate gratification.

Translation:It's probably not a scam, you couldn't hold your horses and wanted something right away like a little child that caused this. "You must work for them."

I don't owe any money; nor have I ever. Balance is paid in full and is currently sitting at $0. They never leave a message. I have blocked the number so it goes straight to voicemail. If you're trying to increase my credit or sign me up for a different/new card, this is NOT the way to do it.

I am writing with regards to a Capital One check issued stemming from a rewards card. While doing some spring cleaning I came across a check from Capital One which was issued in back in 2012. The check was void as it had been over 180 days since it was issued. I thought that I could have the check reissued by going to a Capital One branch and speaking with a teller. Since I already had a Capital One bank account the funds should have been deposited there in the first place. Upon doing so I was informed to call the customer service line. After speaking with the customer service representative I was informed that reissuing the check would not be possible since it has been over a year since the check was issued. I am surpised and shocked that Capital One does not have a system in place for an occurance such as this.

Capital One - Closed account due to bad service

Details
On 1/12/17 I attempted to obtain a rental vehicle. Enterprise's policy requires a credit card on file. My Capital one balance was high so i decided to pay it down or even off in order to use my credit card to obtain the rental vehicle. I was told if i make a payment on 1/12 and they verify my banking funds the payment would post immediately. I decided to make a $150 payment which is the cost of the credit card hold by Enterprise. Once the payment posted it reflected a $148 credit availability. Since i needed $150 i made an additional $25 payment in order to give me some wiggle room. When i called back to capital one to have them verify my funds and post to my account i was told that 2 separate posting transactions could not be done so they would have to stop the $150 and super impose the $175. After that was done, i was told that only 1 transaction release would be allowed even though they just stopped the $150 and my account showed a pending payment of $175. After numerous attempts to get this resolved i ask to speak with a manager. The manager begins to explain only 1 immediate posting can be done in 24 hours. So of course i inquired if that were the case why did the customer service rep suspend my 1st transaction to apply the second. He stated "information is given on a request basis and if they would tell you all the ins and outs of the workflow it would take up too much time". At this point i was livid. I further explained that this is my 8th call to capitol one and i was even told i should apply for a credit increase which would be applied immediately in order to achieve my goal. I applied for the increase and was told it would take up to 48 hours to get an answer. I was flat out lied to on multiple occasions by all facets of the company. I even asked the manager to listen to the recorded statements so he could here how the multiple customer services reps didn't give me all the information and steered me into applying for more credit. He further explains "Even if erroneous information was given by customer service there is nothing we can do about it." I closed both accounts!

I genuinely only wanted to pay my balance to use my credit card as a hold. I did not want to charge the card only use it to rent a car. In my anger i closed my accounts which i do regret. I would like my account re-open.
