Capital One in Houston, Texas - New website

1.3
Details
The new website has complicated my bookkeeping tremendously! I have to “guess” check number and to whom it was written! I have a business and need to reconcile daily ... to further complicate , I have no search button to find check numbers! This is beyond frustrating and is looking like this is permanent! This is close to forcing me to change banks .... longtime customer dar@rvvet.com

Capital One in Houston, Texas - Bad experience

I have been standing in the line for 30 mins trying to cash a check with only 2 tellers open 1 regular teller and 1 commercial on A holiday weekend. Some people only get an hour or so for lunch this bank is always having issues from computers down to only 2 tellers. I like capital one but I may need to rebank. This is absoultely ridiculous

HERE'S WHO CAN WORK WITH YOU!

Go to the local grade school's second grade class. Have all the nice boys and girls teach you how to write using punctuation, sentence structure and grammar.

If you don't want the lender to repo you, it's a very simple process...you pay your bills on time. I suspect, you as a deadbeat, won't understand that!

Capital One in Houston, Texas - Good company

i have had nothing but excellent dealings with capital one=if a person pays his cards on time and pay off balance then there should be no problem. they are my best business friend in this world. ni will be with them until i die for sure. I have recommended cap one to many friends. they helped me by giving me a non secured card when i applied and i had no credit at all-but they looked out for me and i will do the same for them. i now have several cards with cap one and i am very satified with all i do with them and my credit cards

I placed a call to Capital one on 06/29 about a lost or stolen card this card was never blocked. As a result of this I lost about 300.00. I went in to a branch and they gave me a number to call to place a dispute. I called the 800 number just for the young lady Tracy to tell me that it was not there fault therefore, it was just going to be a loss for me. No one seems to update anything in the computer such as address. I gave my new new address 5 times. At the corporate and branch level it just seems to be about policies not the customer or the loss of their hard earned money. I am pissed by their lack of concern. Who governs these banks and how do we file a grievance. I am Karen Milligan 8322747560. Call me for reasons why not t bank with capital one.

A credit card is in business to make money. Since you aren't being approved, it's safe to assume you messed up at some point.

Probably didn't pay your balances and ended up in a delinquent/charge off status. You can't blame a company for seeing you as a huge risk. The only one you have to blame is... Yourself.

A secured card will be the best way to go. You won't be as much of a risk when you put money into the card first.

My story starts with a card we had issued in our nanny's name. She went to buy a gift for my wife while I was at work. This was denied, they then called my wife at work but told her they could not resolve the issue, and she suggested I call the company. I did this from...

As someone who actually does work for Capital One, in the heavy spend dept. I can agree with the person who posted below...

Only if you have a credit card with a limit below 10k. At that point, you are routed to "core" agents. These people handle 50-100 calls a day. They deal with card holders who are legitimately building credit.

But, as with any dept within capital one, I believe its safe to say about 70% of all card holders are incredibly rude. Clearly, most customers have never heard "you get more flies with honey". If you are lucky enough to speak to someone in Tampa, they pretty much have the power to waive all fees.... If you are nice.

We are humans. Have a little respect for the person on the other line. Don't make demands, simply ask for what you want in a polite manner. 9 out of 10 times, (depending on the request..

waive late fees, interest, amf..) we will be more than willing to help you. And please, I beg you for my own sanity.... try to figure out issues for yourself first... enroll online..

you can see statements, current charges/credits, create travel notifications, make payments and set up alerts. DONT call me and request the phone number of the hair salon you visited 2 months ago (yes, that happens).. Do call if you don't recognize a charge AND you have already researched the company and/or called them FIRST. No, I can't just remove a charge from your account because you changed your mind..

I can enter a dispute and perform and investigation... But these things take time. If you have fraud charges, we NEED to change your card number for security reasons. You do have 0 fraud liability but we will call the company with you first just to verify what the charge was for.

Roughly, 65% of the people who believe they have been compromised, realize the charge is legitimate and thank us for our times. We like being addressed by our names and being told Thank you. We respect you by calling you Mr/Ms. We listen to you and genuinely wish to help...

If you aren't screaming at us. We can't and wont help if you don't let us explain what we CAN do for you. I'm sure there are agents who aren't as friendly as you believe they should be. But how would you feel, if your previous customer called and immediately started belittling you.

Many customers use foul language and make outlandish demands. Rarely do we hear a rational person on the phone. I know it's stressing when it comes to dealing with credit and money..... we have the same issues in our personal lives.

If you take a deep breath and put a smile on your face.....

Your problem will mostly likely be solved right away. If not, we will go the extra mile to solve the problem WITH you.
