I have a C1 Spark for my business. The 2% back is nice, and I also like the extended warranty.

So, I bought a Ring Video Pro for the front of the house, as my home office is there. I won't get into the Ring (it's junk), but it started acting up. I didn't worry, because I have extended warranty protection. Wrong.

Even though the C1 website has this nice picture of a person sitting in their kitchen with their dog, clearly implying appliances and what have you are covered, you will learn in the fine print: " and items which are intended to become part of real estate including, but not limited to, items that are hard-wired or..." So, that new dishwasher? Not covered. My doorbell? Held to the front with two concealed screws and two wires - not covered.

Notice the quote text: "but not limited to" - what kind of agreement is that?

It makes me wonder if I purchase a TV and mount it to my wall, will that be covered? To be fair, I'm sure this coverage is provided by Visa (going to go check my MasterCard later), but Capital One leverages it, I'm their customer, so they own it.

Reason of review: Warranty issue.

Monetary Loss: $250.

Preferred solution: Visa terms are unacceptably vague..
