Bank eat my money "capital one"
I made a cash deposit in the atm machine and it malfuctioned, the machine did not issue me a receipt or credit to my account,The manager told me that they have no records of the deposit, and after checking machine found no extra money. I was advised to file a claim, three days later they issued me a temporary credit while investigating the claim. All atm machines should have cameras that security can view to verify that I made a cash deposit. I have been depositing cash in this atm machine for 3 years and never had a problem. "NEVER AGAIN"
Capital One in Reston, Virginia - Don't Touch Capitol One.
Six years ago, I agreed to NOT sue them for harrassment, after days of multiple phone calls. I also agreed to pay an actual balance of around $200.00, which I did. Now, out of the blue, they're sending me bills over a thousand dollars, for a card that was cut up six years ago. I've sent proof, they don't seem to get it. Looks like I'll have to sue them after all. I cannot urge you too strongly, don't touch these crooks with a ten foot pole, in spite of their slick TV ads!!!

Capital One Auto Finance
I applied for a car loan from Capital One Auto Finance and was approved. I clearly put in my application that the purchase was from a used dealer and of course it was approved. When I called a week later to check on my ( blank check) they said we don't do used dealer financing so why then if that was the case did they run my credit report? I filed a real complaint with the federal Trade Commission and so should anyone else that had the same kind of problem. It is a breach of privacy to pull someone's credit history without a reason and since they don't do used dealer financing (even though they advertise it) they had no legal right to run my credit...........steer clear of them at all cost!!!!!
Capital One in Reston, Virginia - Fraudulent advetisement to lure new consumers.
Avoid being duped into applying for an unbelievable offer that was too good to be true. Capital One credit card offered: "A 0% special transfer annual percentage rate that would apply for the life of any balances transferred at the time of application." Instead, 4 mos later, I am being charged a near 6% fee on a $5000 transfer and has caused my monthly payments to go up. The stress of their Financial mangers telling me that "I must deal with it", tells me to take action, if any thing to help others from being pulled in over fraudulent advertisement.

Capital One in Reston, Virginia - RIP OFF
I paid my capitol one bill online which states it takes only up to 3 days to post, after a week i noticed it did not post i checked with my bank and indeed that had been taken out and paid to capitol one, i called captiol one which told me it will take up to 2 weeks to post, i said no way so i was transferred to a supervisior, he said he would have to verify thru my banks,so we three wayed my bank on the phone and my bank stated to them they paid them within 2 days and asked if they needed proof, they said no and posted my payment quickly, but if i had charged something they would have slapped me with finace and overlimit fee charges because i always pay my balance off or due amount two weeks before due always , so i see they tried to trap me by within holding my payments to post so they can charge whatever always watch them they will scam you to death
Yesterday I got notice that they are going to sue me for a credit card debt, of which over $1000.00 is interest. I live in Michigan (enuff said right?) and over the past 5 years my income has been reduced from over $3000.00 to $505.00 monthly. I lost health insurance...
Capital One Bank
I've been a client of North Fork Bank for 38 years with few problems, however, just three weeks into Capital One's takeover of North Fork Bank, the bank lost my paycheck! I deposited my paycheck on Monday and then checked on line to find it "pending" Monday night. Since the paycheck was issued by a Capital One account it should not have even been pending, but deposited as cash. I checked the next day to find that my deposit was no longer even recorded! I immediately called the bank and they said they would look into it. When nobody returned my calls by Monday afternoon, I went in with my deposit slip and was told that they checked it out and that it had been sent by courier to the main bank by mistate and that it should be posted later that afternoon. It was not posted that afternoon and it still was not posted Wednesday morning. I called the bank 4 times on Wednesday before I was able to talk to the agent "working on" my problem who said that she had reached the department handling deposits and that they were backed up for days! I asked if we could put a stop payment on the check so that I could be issued a new paycheck by my employer but was told that the check is in the "system" and that they can not do that. When I asked the agent if I could talk to a supervisor or someone higher up at Capital One to straighten this out, she claims that they do not even have a contact themselves to someone in authority! Three days later they still can't tell me when the problem will be cleared up. . . As soon as I get my money back, goodbye Capital One!
